There has been criticism on the recent tornado and flooding relief efforts, with some saying there isn't enough state accountability because it exists outside the normal budget process.
Today, Representative Jason Freed to read discussed House Bill 257 before the House in our committee, which he chairs.
What this bill does is it says to all such accounts and in particular to of concern right now would be ten Kentucky, West and Kentucky east funds that were brought in by solicitation and received donations for those.
This would create a type of trust fund into which those type of solicited funds would go into, brings them on budget.
So then the General Assembly can appropriate.
The committee approved the bill 23 to nothing.
So it now goes on to the full House.
