We have the whole bedroom set at home.
It says "the Landstrom Company."
18, says 1879 from... APPRAISER: Rockford, Illinois?
GUEST: Rockford, Illinois, yes.
APPRAISER: I’m familiar with that company.
They are one of the many furniture factories that created huge amount of product.
It's in the Louis XVI style.
So it, meaning that it's French-inspired from a period that was at the end of the 18th century, but it's not as old as that.
GUEST: Right.
APPRAISER: This is more like 1930s.
Traditional-style furniture like this is out of fashion.
There's a lot of it out there.
So a whole entire suite-- in this case, you have seven or eight pieces-- is cool, because it's survived intact.
But being out of fashion, the whole group, for an auction value, I'd say is probably $800 to $1,200.
GUEST: Oh, okay.
That's not bad.
(chuckles)
